This is a directory that is slowly developing into an extensive list of places around Australia, where you can go to learn, experience and practice simple living; from self-sufficiency, natural and sustainable living to bush crafts, traditional skills and tribe adventures. There is so much happening everywhere, but we need to be able to find each other, then team up and offer support through creative collaborations (aka Creative Collectives). Today this movement covers a huge range of topics and styles of alternative living, we hope that with a great directory you’ll be able to find a group that really suits you – geographically and personally.

The brain child of journalist Robyn Rosenfeld, Pip Magazine set out to take up from where Australia's previous permaculture magazine, Permaculture International Journal, left off. It's the perfect way to check out what's been happening on the Australian permaculture scene, and to learn from the community. It's produced by the community, for the community!"
